BGM Financial is proud to have sponsored this award through the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce since it started more than 20 years ago with the goal of helping to make Cambridge the WOW place to do business. Various metrics have shown that even when a customer experiences a 100% satisfaction rating for service, the business still only has an 80% chance of retaining that customer. And if the service experience is below 100%, the customer retention becomes significantly lower. The WOW award is open to entries for companies and organizations across the spectrum of businesses that include retail, industrial, commercial, tourism, public sector and non-profit/charitable organizations of all sizes.

Each month the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce receives nominations and recognizes one individual or organization who has gone above and beyond, providing what your customer sees as extraordinary service in an everyday situation. These individuals and the businesses they work for exemplify service excellence, and most are completely surprised to be nominated for what they believe is merely "doing their job". Each month, staff from the Chamber and from BGM make a surprise visit to the nominee’s place of work to present them with a framed certificate and gift basket to thank them for helping to make Cambridge the “WOW place to do business”.
